Just caught the new film FENCES on screen 2 .....which is accessed up a windy stairwell off of the front part of the cinema. Intimate cinema with cosy wide seats. Tip : book early and get a end of far row seats as the cinema screen 2 is compact and you could be in the "exit" path for the in-out... More

An appropriate venue to watch the latest installment of Bond. Complete with an Aston Martin reversing into the complex, with due care not seen in the movie. An order of Gin and Tonic from the bar, and then into the cinema with comfy seats. This is cinema done well, very well.

This is a lovely cinema with a very classy feel. The seating is comfortable and if you want a little extra go for the 'Pulman' seating. Curzon always does some good special showings from the National Theatre and Operas from the Met and Royal Opera House. These are particularly worth seeing.

Nice comfortable seats, a large screen and good films selections - what more do you want from a cinema? Perhaps a bit expensive but I guess it comes with the area

Very comfortable and luxurious seats. Not cheap but would definitely go back. Nice to be able to take a drink in with you to sip during film.

Having come here a few times to watch some great Indie Movies, I always prefer these Cinemas compared to the big chains as the services seem so much more personable and the food and drink are not over the odds for the quality.

The Curzon group of movie theaters - a.k.a. "cinemas" to the locals - is a really fine place to enjoy the latest in movies, particularly those that are more "arty." The theatres themselves are comfortable - and digital - and the food/bar options will tempt you. It has good restrooms too. That's important.

The cinema has smallish foyer area and since it was the London Film Festival they had cordoned off about half of the seating area for 'VIPs'. Nobody came. We stood. With 30mins to go to the film we were reminded that ceramic cups were not allowed in the auditorium. The seats are comfortable but when the film has subtitles we... More

I've been here a few times and the Curzon branches are a breath of fresh air in relation to the faceless multiplexes. The Mayfair is slightly plusher in ambience. I'm sad to say that my most recent visit was a bit problematic. I saw 'M' by Fritz Lang. The quieter stretches, and silent bits lost their spell because of extraneous sound (music,soundtrack...hard to... More

This has a welcoming lobby that puts you at ease - comfortable chairs and a bar - not the kind of cinema overrun with teenagers. Rather than run of the mill commercial films you can see the smaller independents and world cinema. With comfortable seats and plenty of room you can't really go wrong - and early birds get a... Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
