Unpretentious, friendly and great beer at reasonable prices. This is a nice 'proper' pub - and the beer is well-kept. A special word for the great barmaid, who has a fabulous choice of music! Really friendly - an asset to the place!

We live on Tyneside and we went in on name alone, Barley Mow being an area in Gateshead. The pub was a typical pub which could have been anywhere in the world but more importantly a local boozer in Gateshead. It was a little bit...More

£11 for 2 pint, that's expensive even for London... bar man was more interested in his 2 female mates sitting at the bar rather than being a real bar man. Did not even finish our drinks.

Nice pub if you can get a seat. Small and a good selection of beers. Great for a few beers not good for large groups.

Visited here with mates one summer evening. Nice enough pub with decent selection of beers. Was a warm evening so it was nice that there was air con inside. Will return.

On first walking in we thought what is that smell? Turned out to be cheesy chips which isn't so bad when you know the orgin of the whiff. A choice of ales and craft beers. Worth a stop off ...
