    Loved it
Great unpretentious pub conveniently located right by Borough Tube Station. Excellent Anglo-Indian food, fantastic beer selection and top service. They looked after our large group brilliantly. If I lived nearby, it would without doubt be my local of choice.

Went For Lunch, Stayed For Dinner Too!
A couple of friends recommended this pub and we were very pleased we visited. Liked the intimacy of the bar. Some great beers and even loved the trendy jug glasses the beer was served in. The highlight is the food which was so good, along with the atmosphere, that instead of leaving we stayed for dinner as well. Everyone enjoyed what they had and I was so impressed with the Chicken Tikka Masala Pie I had it for both sittings. I would have had it for breakfast too had they let us stay :-) Well worth a visit!

Friendly British-Indian pub with great food!
The best of both worlds... a cosy, traditional British pub, with 12 draught beers, and excellent Indian food. The man at the bar was friendly, helpful and cheerful. We had a great time in a warm, friendly atmosphere. We haven't tried their music nights as we just dropped in for lunch, but they seem good. Strongly recommend! 🥰

    Delicious chicken tikka masala pie.
Visited with a dear friend with the sole purpose of trying their chicken tikka masala pie and it did not disappoint. My two favourite things combined, pastry and curry, served with tasty chips and salad. Visited on a quiet afternoon after New Year. Manager/Owner (not sure who) was very welcoming and had a cracking playlist on. Hope to return for one of their music events evenings and of course, the pie!

    Outstanding luxury experience
I have had the most outstanding experience spending just a few hours in The Gladstone Arms. Initially, walking upto the venue. I expected a South London pub, but this only added to the amazement. Once I entered I was greeted immediately with courtesy and friendliness, by Luke the Bar Manager. Which for me is very important to ensure you feel at home in a venue, never visited before. He is an asset to the company. Leading me on to the fact that it is a family run business and that's how you feel, as soon as you walk in the door, like family. Just to top it off, even the owner Gaurav, makes a point to say hello to each and everyone that walks through the door. This place has nailed it. If you want a elegant environment and genuine night out in London. Don't bother with Wardour Street or Tottenham Court Road. This is the place to come. I will add that the premises can cater for wheelchairs and the elderly with the ground floor dining area. And the food is of Michelin quality. If you don't try this out, your missing out, Simple!!!!

    Awesome Local Hangout
As Americans, we were so happy to find this amazing little pub. We were welcomed by the owners and the locals with open arms. We first popped in to have dinner with our kids. The food is fantastic. Then we went back two additional evenings sans kids during our week trip to London just to have a pint after a long day of sightseeing. We love The Glad!

The Gladstone Arms is a cute and tiny pub closer to Southwark and it is a small gem among the vastity of pubs in London.
A good gem.
It proposes interesting beers on tap and an interesting menu with an indian touch and all dishes come as either small - for a person whom is not very hungry - or large if you want to share the meal with some friends.
I was there with 3 friends and we took 1 large Avocado Papri Chaat and 1 Veggie Sliders and they were enough.
A huge PLUS and a great surprise it is the live music! Thursday, Saturday and Sunday there is live music with several bands or singers.
The place is a real treat and the staff and owners were very friendly too.

Surely this will now be one of my regular haunts in the area?! (Working around here I’ve been to them all!)
Service was just blinding, like I genuinely can’t remember the last time I received service like that.

From the owner to the chef.

Quirky and good selection of drinks.
Food was yummy, only had nibbles but will report back on more as will definitely be returning for mains etc.

Cute little rooftop patio place for a couple of tables, and peaceful there too!

Just had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon here and couldn’t get over how much they went out of their way so you can carry on, enjoy and have fun.

Top top banana.

A lovely local rustic pub with very tasty food but ordered a soft drink which was a rip off!! It was literally less than 1/4 small glass of drink. Very disappointed that there are still some pubs who charge extortionate prices for a stingy 1/4 glass of drink. I recommend the food but not the non-alcoholic drinks.

Don’t rely on the restaurant to honour your booking. We booked our table well in advance for our trip to London and received an automated email reply a few days before our arrival to say the Gladstone Arms had cancelled our reservation. No explanation as to why and our time slot is now showing as booked on their website! We are now left trying to find a Saturday evening booking elsewhere with most places fully booked. Thanks Gladstone!

I came here a few years ago and the Indo-Japanese fried chicken dish has always lingered in my memory. I think if you remember food for years it must be pretty special.
I was finally in the area again tonight and went back for the chicken. The staff were super friendly too, the building and decor were charming, music was good, prices weren't bad for the location, and we took part in a pub quiz and somehow came second and won a free round. Ticked all the boxes and more.
