Trains go in, trains go out. It's a station. Though in fairness it's one of the best in the country. Gotta love Platform 9 3/4 for the kids.

Kings Cross station is easy to navigate transfers between the underground, regional trains or buses. Very clearly marked signs and a large ticket office. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Small shops around from clothes to food.

Carry it with you if it is manageable. If not a quick call to Cusotmer services should clear it up
