Quaint old hill in central Norwich that winds steeply with period buildings on both sides Most of the buildings have shops aimed at the tourist. There is a church at the top of the hill but the view and atmosphere of being transported back in time is somewhat ruined by modern, drab dwellings which overlook the small junction of lanes.... A walk back in time, such a beautiful and peaceful area to explore. The Bear shop is a must, such a tiny shop with so many gorgeous bears to admire. Loved Elm Hill.

If you are a visitor to Norwich, this is the 'must see' street. Here is where you will take the photos to impress your friends. The half timbered old buildings, quaint shops and cobbles were made to feature on a calendar or tin of biscuits. It's close to the cathedral and other attractions, so there is no excuse for not... A Street renovated to show past glories whilst hosting modern shops. This area of Norwich is well worth a visit as is the near by River Walk.

A lovely little road tucked away in the middle of the city. A selection of out of the ordinary shops and a lovely cafe on the corner, go up the stairs into the lovely garden area. Then there's the teddy bear shop, just stand in awe at all the wonderful bears and their friends.

Elm Hill is a lovely part of old Norwich, cobbled streets and ancient buildings, old shops, cafes and restaurants. Visit it as part of a visit to the centre of old Norwich or just visit it for its own sake. Close to Tombland, St Andrews Hall, Cinema City and other attractions at the heart of this fine city

One of my favourite places in Norwich. The Cathedral quarter is home to so many cobbled corners and this is probably the nicest. Stunning glimpse into the past, particularly if you walk down at a time most people are out and there are no cars nearby. Quirky little shops, stunning bright cottages... It's so close to my home and I... More
