You do need to check when the house is open unfortunately we did not and were disappointed not to be able to go inside.

I did one of the longer way marked walks which was through farmland, park land & woods. Easy walking. A trip around the hall was interesting There's a good picnic area and a fascinating Walked Garden which was the highlight of my visit.

I am not happy with this myself as allergic to dogs ! Owners also continually pet them and hair floats in the air ... There is outdoor seating, but obviously for the likes of us now and not the dogs !!
