Sunday, and on our way back from north Norfolk coast we called in at the Aviation museum. There was hardly anyone there apart from the staff. As luck would have it we were introduced to a volunteer who offered to take us up the ladders and into the cockpit of a Vulcan bomber. What a treat, we learned so much... More

As with all these small charity funded museums, the volunteers are what make it special. Here was no exception, they were lovely. We started talking to a chap called Hugh, an... More

A great place to visit. Very family friendly. A rare opportunity to go inside a Vulcan and a Nimrod. We enjoy it so much we have an annual pass.

Was a OK visit, my husband enjoyed the experience, I thought it was OK but it was October and I was cold think I would of enjoyed it more if I was warm. I must admit it was intreasting especially seeing the vulcan bomber and standing underneath it , i have seen it fly at airshows and that was brilliant.... More

I recommend this museum for a visit - about 3 hours would be the limit. Positives: - clear signage to the attraction - fully adequate parking - friendly staff - nicely laid out right next to Norwich airport : can watch aircraft landing /taking off - lots of interesting exhibits - can get right up to most of the aircraft... We're on our honeymoon & I love planes. This was perfect for both of us. World war for hubby & planes for me. Being close to the airport, was perfect. Walking around hearing planes & helicopters taking off added to the trip. Toilets & a tea room is ideal, lovely hot chocolate, tea & tarts. All staff/volunteers were friendly &... More

My husband and I visited last week whilst on holiday, unbelievable that this is a free museum although they do ask for donations and are happy for you to drop a few pounds into their boxes. The museum is very interesting and informative, there is loads to see and lots of information to read. The cafe is very nice and... More

Always wanted to visit with the children and was randomly driving past and thought I'd visit. Staff are so friendly and on a nice day you can watch the planes take off at the nearby airport! Which the kids loved! The little cafe is nice and very reasonable priced! Not a full day out and also better for people with... More
