An historic memorial to whale-hunting and to links with Inuit peoples of Alaska. Looking a bit tired but a great view over to the East Cliff and something of a must-see.

Not aware of these anywhere else in the UK so a worthy spot for a tourist picture of Whitby. The views from the West Cliff where it is are excellent too!

The views from the top are really nice. The arch is nice. I don’t personally get it. But it is nice when your up there.

Not the originals (in itself interesting) but the symbolism is more important (you may have to google)
