Really enjoyed this experience we had a tour guide called Max who knew his stuff and was so knowledgeable about history. He kept up with all the questions we were throwing at him! My children aged 10,13 really had a great time; the youngest one was fascinated by the displays and enjoyed the actual digging and finding things. We would... More

I used clubcard vouchers to purchase a family ticket, this made it excellent value. We all enjoyed the tour, it was great to get hands on and our boys aged 8 and 11 both got stuck in.

We had a great hour at Dig. Our children aged 9 and 7 loved it. It was lead by knowledgeable staff who talked around the subject. Following an introductory talk there are four areas to 'dig'; Victorian, Vikings, roman and medieval. You spend around 20mins digging to find things, helped by the guide who helps you work out what you... More

This attraction is probably for the younger children. My boys 8 and 11 were a little bored. Any younger and I would recommend this. The school trip upstairs looked perfectly pitched.

This is a great place for small children as they get to learn whilst they play. They can dig up hidden artefacts in different rooms from different eras. My son loved it so much we hosted his birthday party here when he was 6. Lots of the other parents said it was much more interesting than the usual ball pit... More

This is my 6-year old grandson's favourite and he insists on going every time her visits and has done so for the past two years, Buy a Pastport season ticket for all the York Archaeological Trust attractions and easily get your money's worth. The guides are superb teachers of little children and soon get them enthused while actually gteaching them... More

Visited here with my family on Tuesday to give the kids some educational stimulation and it worked, after reading some reviews expected it to be expensive but decided to give it a go as we were walking the past anyway, £20 for 2 adults and 2 children not too bad, this gave us a tour for an hour with a...
