This House is interesting on several levels. In the basement there were Roman ghosts, and we heard a good deal about the House from our knowledgeable guide.

A really interesting old National Trust property interestingly rebuilt by Frank Green. Some may think he ruined the house with what he did to it. The fact that it's still there was down to him,and after all it was his house

A fascinating house with an interesting history. Very knowledgeable and helpful guides. The cellar Ghost tour was well worth doing (even having to wear a hard hat).

Well worth a visit. The exterior and garden are stunning. The interior is a funny old mixture of periods and style courtesy of the late-nineteenth century owner, but very interesting. Sweet guide in the main room, brimming with enthusiasm.

Only had time to look round the garden, which was lovely. Quite small but packed with interest, and plants were labelled too. Great place to sit for a while, really lovely.

You can purchase on line. I highly recommend if you are going to visit several attractions getting the one day York city pass from the visit York tourism shop by the Minster. Will save you money. Only good for the day.
