Must see this place. The gardens are great for a walk/ramble or other in any weather. When we were there the weather was glorious. Friendly staff good value for money.

Felt really unwelcome as if our presence was a necessary evil . Staff declined to serve my mother a cup of tea indoors on mothers day despite her being in a wheelchair frail and cold.

We had heard that it was worth a visit to see the House decorated, and we were not disappointed. The house and gardens are worth visiting, but the Christmas display was superb. We actually went round the house twice, the second time late in the day to fully appreciate the lights. Lovely room guides who are happy to chat about... More

Visited on 5th March. Thought price £9 (concessions) was really expensive for the grounds. The price should be altered for the different seasons as there was not much to see.

Despite of the cold weather, Castle Howard's grounds are majestic. The snowdrops hunters won't be disappointed and if you visit mid March, all daffodils and most rhododendrons will spring (!) to life. A place to be enjoyed all year 'round :-)

I've really enjoyed Christmas in the Castle Howard for the second time and I'll definitely go there every year. There are really beautiful decorations and I love the atmosphere there.

One of our favourite drop ins' . No admission fee necessary in this delightful setting with outside terrace for the finer weather. Along with Yo Bake House in Malton and The Westmoreland in Harrogate, the coffee is superb, great blend and just the right temperature - an art in itself to avoid spoiling the flavour. to eat the freshly prepared/... If this is now the case it would have been nice to let existing pass holders use there cards for the remainder of there year subscription and implement... More
