If you're in York I'd recommend a walk on the walls. The wall area around the Minster gives some great views of the gardens around the area. Definitely worth a stroll around on a sunny day

There are 2 miles of the walk although you can get off at various points. The important thing is that the wall is not supported on one side and there are steep sides. Trying to pass can be scarey.

The city walls are SUCH a cool way to see the city. It's so fascinating to think about how long the city walls have been standing and all the history they have seen. Definitely a neat way to get some exercise on a lovely day.

Although the walls are cool and well preserved, most of them don't have an internal fence (so if you fall good luck) and there are way too many tall trees in the surroundings so taking photos of good sceneries is almost impossible, better go to...More
