Dirty, rundown and with unfriendly staff. Beer nothing to write home about. The only good thing is the location as it is close to The Shambles.

Had the weekend in York and went around a few pubs on the Saturday evening, this one stood out to us, well located and great atmosphere inside, small but bustling and a sense of tradition and people having a good time. Nice to have a few pints and watch the passers by and came back on the Sunday for lunch... More

A traditionally pub with all sorts of brewery, I liked how it was also pet friendly and there were also a library full of games and books for people who wanted to sit and chill and have a beer or two.

A great bar with friendly people and the most reasonably priced food and drink in York with an extra 10% off for CC members. Always a good choice of beers.

I've had a few bottles of Guzzler from supermarkets but now found the York Brewery has a few of its own pubs. This is a lovely little beer drinkers paradise. Well done.

Nice pub. I was there on a Wednesday, which was a quiz night (a very good quiz too). Generally younger adults in there. Good selection of drinks and not too pricey.

Out with friends for a drink or two. If you are a beer drinker this is a fantastic pub as I seem to recall there were a plethora to choose from. Personally I prefer lager, but not withstanding, I was as able to find a suitable drink.

Excellent beer (mainly excellent York Brewery) served by friendly staff in a 'real pub'. Friendly clientele (dogs amongst them - never a bad thing), great location (good chippy and second hand bookshop nearby, town centre) - what more do you need in a pub? Great place to unwind and also to peoplewatch if that's your thing with big open views... More

I always like to pop in to the last drop whenever I visit York because of the well kept beer. On a recent trip this week my wife and I called in for a beer and a warming pot of tea on a cold afternoon. I ordered a pint of ghost which was promptly pulled and my wife asked for... More

I'm really very sorry to hear you weren't able to enjoy a cup of tea when you visited our pub over Christmas and particularly about what appears to be the less than genial conduct of one of my employees. Unfortunately the busy festive period placed extra demands on the staff and our resources which meant that we were unable to... More
