We went on this walk to keep ourselves amused for an hour or so on the evening. Couldn't help but notice that there were a few ghost walks and got the impression that there was a well trod path for a number of them. Whilst some of the stories were interesting we would have appreciated a bit more factual info... More

The walk is an amusing experience with the emphasis on audience participation. It last about one hour and is well worth it for a bit of a giggle. Quite theatrical but amusing.

My husband and I were told by many to go on this ghost tour during our trip to York, so we did. Absolutely brilliant, funny, informative and a we had a great time. Not a ghost tour to be taken too seriously though. The guide was also brilliant. Not sure it's something we'd do again as after reading these reveiws... More

More for kids as it's a bit childish, I would say, although most of the stories involved dead children unfortunately. I like a laugh but making faces at people eating in a local restaurant is not my bag!

After visiting York many times with family and friends we always try and go on a ghost walk, the Ghost Hunt of York was by far the very best that we have been on, entertaining, informative, super interaction with the crowd, humour and the host Dan was the perfect host, this was one hour not to be missed. Advice don't... More

My girlfriend and I went on this ghost walk expecting it to be informative and scary, unfortunately it was none of those. On the other hand I'd highly recommend it if you are up for a laugh, it was very entertaining and worth the £6 price tag. If you are looking for a scare then this isn't the ghost walk... More

Not worth £6. It was rubbish. The group was asked to stand in front of a restaurant full of people while pretending to listen to the guide tell a ghost story. Then run up to the window and pull faces. We also played knock a door run. This is not entertaining. York has an amazing history and none of this... More

There are lots of "ghost walks" available in York, I chose this one because it was relatively short (around an hour) and I hoped not too scary as I was with my daughter who scares easily. It was perfectly fine, enough blood and gore but handled in a jokey way. However if you are looking for a lot of information... More
