Matinee performance on a Sunday, easy parking nearby and a relaxed feel to the theatre. Plenty of time for pre or after show meal. I love the feel and ambience of the theatre, old but current too. A fabulous way to spend an afternoon.

I’ve seen lots of various acts and performances. Recently I have seen Milton Jones and Jason Manford. Both were hilarious. The theatre is exceptional, the staff are very polite and professional. Any performance will be a great experience.

We go regularly, both the Derngate and Royal theatres are excellent, good shows, facilities and reasonable prices especially compared to seeung the same shows in London.

The Royal and Derngate theatre is actually TWO theatres - the larger, more modern Derngate takes all the major shows and the smaller more traditional Royal is used for small shows and a lot of stand-up. We booked two cheap (£10 each) tickets for the...More

Had a smashing time at this musical at the Royal Theatre in Northampton. Unfortunately we were seating at a back row in the upper balcony- so missed a bit of the stage.

If its in the Auditorium, To be fair the views in all of the Auditorium are really good. Thats the way they are designed. You shouldnt have a problem unless someone really tall has the seat in front of you. Enjoy.

I've not been in one of the circle boxes but they run perpendicular to the stage so the view is going to be a bit distorted. The performers are performing towards the main crowd and you might find it a bit off putting to be... More
