We had great weather so the views were magnificent. We were early in the morning before the cafe opened so can't give an opinion.

These are a short drive from the museum and after a short walk from the adjacent car park, we were rewarded by the spectacular 360 degree views of the landscape. There is also opportunity to explore the wall and imagine the life of a soldier...More

We absolutely love hiking and mountains and countryside and this was just perfect. Absolutely beautiful views, some crags to climb if you feel up for it and flatter land for those less confident. Always make sure you have a waterproof and good hiking boots as...More

Hadrian's wall offered so many well preserved areas, such views from here. We really appreciated all the work to make the wall accessible and preserved. It was amazing to walk where people walked 19 centuries ago!

The site is excellent for walking along the Wall for a bit and getting a sense of the quality of construction and design of the Wall. It is most impressive to view the Wall running to the horizon in both directions. And it is still...More

A memorable day. Must have spent 6 hours walking along the wall to Housesteads and then back using the path to the north facing the Wall, via the quarry and then "home" to Haltwhistle. Hot n sunny, loads of flying ants. A fabulous walk with...More
