Great for dog walking and children to run along. The roundhouse at parsley hey is particularly interesting. You do have to be mindful of cycles coming up rapidly behind, sometimes they are rather fast. Lovely scenery and beautiful county.

Walked from Cromford canal to Middleton Top and back took about three and half hours without having too rush.Quite a long incline to start with but very good walking conditions under foot as it's a old railway line.

Drove all the way from Nottingham to ride this trail, starting from Crich we headed up the two Beast climbs, just passed Middleton Top we found the sign indicating the trail was closed and there was no alternative route... A waste of time and effort...More

This is very easy walking along a disused railway track. We veered off to visit the village of Tissington and enjoyed a lovely cuppa and excellent cakes in the cafe there.

Fabulous! What a workout. Thoroughly enjoyable . I’m 65 and the exercise is in your control..... stop and take scenery when you want!

As the gradients are gentle you get a comfortable walk on a solid surface. Views out and rest points at regular intervals. Tissington trail links several places and we spent the day walking to Milldale and South along Dovedale. The High Peaks trail is again...More

Camped in the field at the pub at Hurdlow (a great start, except that I was by the hedge, and the dawn chorus was deafening !) Left the bikes there to shuttle a car down to Cromford, then drove back to mount up. 12 or...More

Rode our bikes with friends. Tissington trail well maintained. One advantage would be to put on the footpath signs where they went too.

We joined the trail at Tissington walking towards along a great wide track. Sadly we didn’t go very far so can’t help with info about a pub. Sorry.

Sorry, I don’t know for sure but you might like to check the hire centre. It’s at Parsley Hay. Just google it and it will give you all the details. It appears to hire what you want but best you check.
