Excellent choice of gifts and products on stalls and a very happy atmosphere in a beautiful central square.

Fairly recently completely renovated the square is flanked by a mixture of modern and old buildings, the oldest being from the mediaeval period. There is a lovely modern water feature at one end and the imposing Council House at The other. During summer months there is a temporary beach set up.

Having lived in Germany for 5 years recently, we have something genuine to compare to, and the food was actually pretty good! However, we have a 4 & 3 year old, who went on the kids rides. The frozen swing and balloon ride were being operated by 2 'early 20 yr olds' lads, who were more interested in puffing on... More

this was totally over rated. We paid £9.50 and it says choice of drinks in ice glasses. These are only if you want a shot of something. The rest is only very limited drinks to choose from. The staff were extremely miserable and it was supposed to be christmas! It was not very organised and we had to wait whilst... More

Nice Christmas atmosphere around the market. Disappointed with the ice skating booked in advance at cost of £30 for a family of 4 for 45 minutes, not a bad price really. Short wait to get on the ice rink, unfortunately it hadn't been cleaned with the ice machine thing so watery puddles, Christmas tree branches & pine needles from the... More

£4 plus for a pint of poor quality German lager (Becks vier or Lowenbrau)!! Served in disposable plastic cups which no doubt someone will say "it's for safety". In MY opinion it's a rip off and having been once I doubt very much I'll be again. The only thing that prevents me from giving a lower rating is the atmosphere... More

My husband and I took our Grandson to the Winter Wonderland in Nottingham Market Square. It is so lovely with all the different stalls and the rides for the children, it is reasonably priced. It was lovely to see the people skating and having fun. I go every year, it just makes you feel Christmassy.........
