This theatre has a really wide range of productions and shows, all of which have been of a very high standard so far. I can’t think of a single visit where we’ve had poor seats. Ensure you join up to their mailing list for notification...More

This was our first visit to the Playhouse and we were pleasantly surprised! What a lovely little theatre. Having bought our tickets quite late on we were concerned about what kind of seats we had but had a really good view. The production, Pride and...More

I took my son to see The Kite Runner at the Nottingham Playhouse as it's on tour at the moment. Wow, what a moving, well scripted and superbly acted play. It has you drawn in from the very beginning and does not fail to hold...More

I have attended numerous shows at this venue, there are comfortable seating and great views wherever your seated. Friendly staff always keep events running smoothly & there is an excellent if a little pricey cafe bar attached to the venue.

regrettably, this theatre is still second best to the Theatre Royal for everything except the Panto. The Crime Season moved here due to refurbishment at the Theatre Royal was excellent, but the venue was poor in terms of seating and the interval drinks were hopeless....More

Booked many times at this venue and have never been disappointed. Seen Alan Rickman, Helena Bonham-Carter, John Gordon Sinclair amongst many others. Great place - very welcoming - nice food too. Highly recommended as a theatre space. Great for Shakespeare and the classics!

Came last night to watch the MADD gala showcase and graduation. Collected tickets at box office and staff were friendly and fast. There is a lift for those that need it and the staff were helpful with my elderly mother who has difficulty walking. A...More

I've visited for the first time to see East is East. I was surprised by the fact, that you can eat during the play and that people left their rubbish under their seats after the show. The play was ok, though, however, there were some...More

Sat in the circle I'd forgotten how steep the Playhouse is. Rent was like a student production, really failed to engage me and I winced at actors in a few of the lead character roles. Found it all so painful I left at the interval....More
