Had a lovely day at Grey's Court, despite the fact it was freezing cold and very misty. The grounds are lovely and very well kept, lots to keep you interested outdoors. I thought the house offer was good. An offer of 2 tours, one at 11 and one at 12, or you can access the house via free flow from... More

We drove here and then realised that we had actually been here before but that didn't really matter. We had a really interesting talk from one of the volunteers who seemed very knowledgeable about the family history. We noticed things in the house we hadn't seen before. Its a lovely house, you get the sense that it was really lived... More

Whilst the house itself was pleasant and interesting in the sense that it was fairly recently lived in (reflected in the decor and furnishings) unlike many national trust properties we've seen, for me personally the gardens were the star. The interlinked, gardens broken up by gates into little sections were great for a bit of exploring, even in winter. The... More

Grey's court is yet another great National Trust property. Tours of the house are available, although we didn't on this occasion. The cafe is good and serves nice food, although it can get exceptionally busy. There is a good little play area (now in the woods, not by the maze) complete with den-building, which was very popular with the kids.... More

We just did the walk which was fab and then had a drink and snack in the tearoom which was very busy but although we waited a bit it was good .

A great NT property, we had a fascinating and engaging tour with a lady called Robbie. She really knew the history and told it well. I was excited to learn Ian Fleming lived there as my Grandfather was in his marine commando unit in the war. However it was the Brunner family that I found fascinating especially John Brunner. The... Lovely old house which has a homely rather than stately home appeal. The gardens are relaxed with lots of varied and interesting areas. The donkey wheel well pump is really interesting. My grand daughters aged 7 and 9 always love visiting and it is the NT property in the area which they want to visit again.

We visited on a cold, rainy afternoon and from the word go was taken away by the beautiful house and wonderfully kept gardens, and not forgetting the fantastic volunteers. We had a private tour of the house (due to it being a quiet day) and no question was left unanswered as they were both very informative and obviously passionate about... More

Greys Court is small manageable National Trust house and estate, lovely gardens and interesting old house plus a good restaurant/cafe in the old farm yard.
