On our last night in Oxford, attended a concert by the Oxford University Symphony in this inspirational theatre built by Sir Christopher Wren. We were so close to the orchestra that it was almost overpowering; an awesome venue, and one not to be missed!

During Oxford International Model United Nations, we had our closing ceremony is this building. As beautiful as the outside is, the inside tops this!

we were very lucky. I clear blue sky so after we appreciated the interior we took the stairs to the gallery and were able to enjoy the fantastic view of Oxford. Its a must visit venue in Oxford for a tourist

If you get the chance, go to a graduation. Sample the attendant telling you where not to sit, walk, wait, breathe. He is out of the 18th century...and seems unaware that the raked seating is very hard to navigate. He is especially harsh on "foreigners" and babies. There is now a proper PA system. An organ but no organist. They... More

The theatre was designed by Christopher Wren. The interior is nice but not amazing, ascending to the cupola requires about 100 steps. Wonderful rooftop of Oxford however, not sure of worth the 3 1/2 pound admission

We were not allowed entrance to this building, which we understood, but while you are walking through the university area, this is a charming surprise and, on its own, a work of art.

The amazing painted ceiling has to be seen. Being present at a graduation here with all the traditional Oxford pomp and Latin service was an honour. Congratulations to Isaac and Rose also!

Not a bad seat in the theatre, interior visual and auditory experience for the presentation we enjoyed, was excellent.

Free entry for students, and you can walk all the way to the top white tower for beautiful views of the Oxford spires. A bit of a short/quick visit, otherwise.

I attended a concert at the end of October '16 with the Philarmonia Orchestra playing Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Brahms. Great acustic and beautiful theatre. The seating is not comfortable even in the seats with back support, but that's ok given it's a 1600's theatre.
