I've walked the 5 weirs from Meadowhall to town during all seasons. The walk takes just over an hour. It's well marked for when you need to leave the river side. Theres plenty to entertain nature lovers with the abundance of wildlife & Salmon pastures....More

I really love this walk for any time of year. I have been lucky enough to see a kingfisher on this walk. My only slight problem is that there always seems to be a section of this walk closed.

I did this walk today - inspired by my friend who ran the 100km Peak Challenge and who I helped crew for in the wee hours of this morning. This was extremely lightweight in comparison - but more suited to my fitness level. Granted it...More

As with most things in Sheffield this is almost but not quite perfect. The walk is reasonably well signed however there are a few places when one has to negotiate busy urban roads. This is a shame as alternative plans were originally suggested that would...More

This walk gives a new perspective - you get a better feel for the city. At one time, when I was a boy, you couldn't have done this walk and wouldn't want to if you could have. It would have been oily turbid water that...More
