This is a wonderful walk around the southern boundary edges of Sheffield. It takes in wonderful parks and woodland, full of wildlife and unforgettable nature! Also, the walk takes in local history, historic buildings and, plenty of cafe's! ... it is about a 4,5 or 6 hour walk in total (12 - 14 miles), although there are plenty of roads... More

A long-established walk through some of Sheffield's very finest scenery. Hard to believe that it's all within five miles of the city-centre. Porter Clough, Limb Valley, and Ecclesall Woods are particularly delightful. If you walk Beauchief to Hunter's Bar, you can even get your tea in Endcliffe Park Cafe!

a walk of about 14 miles which is best done in summer as it gets very muddy in parts during winter - plenty of refreshment establishemnts along the way and easy to do in sections

Visiting Sheffield, I noticed the Sheffield Round Walk signs and decided to do it, even though the visitor's center was out of booklets and advised me not to try to follow the trail until I obtained the proper brochure. Fortunately, I did it in two parts. I started on the first day near Oakbrook and Westbrook roads and completed the... More

This is a manageable walk of 14 miles that can be done in stages if you don't want to do it all in one go. The are cafe's and pubs along the way to get some refreshment if needed. It can be a little muddy in places so wear appropriate footwear, but it's an easy walk for regular walkers. Look... More

A lovely 15 mile walk or run which can be broken down into 11 sections for shorter distances. Quite Steep in places but then some nice downhill sections. Following a lovely stream in 2 sections through gorgeous wooded areas. it covers some idyllic areas of Sheffield and some urban ones so a very good mix but some very good views... More

It's a great walk but take care when crossing the roads! They're lethal! Sheffield doesn't really take care of walkers and cyclists.

Even though the total length is 14 miles, and even though Sheffield is known for its hills, you don't have to attempt all of it in one go. Just pick out the section(s) that interest you, and try it out. Start at Hunters Bar, for example. Many parts offer scenic views, and many are comparatively flat, so take some time... More

I printed the map off the internet so we had an idea where we were in Sheffield. We combined it with snooker at the crucible. The walk is easy to follow and everything was easy to find. The city was compact clean and everyone so friendly. We really enjoyed the walk was wasn't to far. The regenerated areas with the... More
