The ironbridge was due for demolition during the sixties as it was deemed unfit for purpose after neglet and was to be replaced with a concrete bridge.Fortunately, someone set up an organization to save this wonderful structure and restore it to original detail.

If you've ever been in a factory and hated it or been in a forge and loved it, you can't help but be inspired by the iron bridge. Gorgeous river valley, gorgeous bridge, without the cheap tat that normally accompanies these sites.

Not only is this the first suspension bridge in UK, Europe probably in the world, but great views of river & valley. Few nice cafes & pubs on the riverside too.

Steeped in history and very picturesque. Only stayed for the weekend but was thoughly enjoyable and tranquil.

Hi, you can walk over the Iron bridge and there are 3 different walks of various lengths from there which are great to exercise the dog. Then you can take a dog into the Victorian Village free of charge. (around £18pperson... More
