We popped over to Ironbridge for a couple of hours on Saturday. The bridge is all covered up for repair works. We did cross over the bridge but you can not see much at the moment.

The bridge is wrapped in plastic sheeting whilst restoration work is carried out. However you can still walk over it and there are lots of information boards along the length. The Tollhouse is an excellent little information centre and its free!

Good location in Telford. Very hard to park. Even tho this was being repainted. The English Hertige did a good job with providing additional info about the rebuild.

The bridge is undergoing extensive and valuable renovation by its guardian English Heritage. A great deal of the money to do this was gifted by a German Engineering Association! Whilst you can still walk over the bridge and enjoy the downriver views of the Gorge...More
