The church looks stunning from the gardens. We didn't go inside as my little one was more interested to roll on the grass (it was a lovely sunny day). There were some renovations going on on the outside, so please check before you visit.

This is a lovely, very unusual building and must have a most interesting history. We visited for a lunchtime concert which we very much enjoyed - would love to return and find out more about the church.

St Chad's is next to the Quarry park, very close to the town centre and can be seen from most parts of town as it sits on a rise. The history of this lovely Church of England building can be found elsewhere; I am writing from a visitors point of view. The church is open every day although occasionally access... More

This church built in the late 17th century is one of the largest churches in the round in UK and is very impressive inside. It replaced a previous church nearby which collapsed

Worth a look, not often you see a circular nave. Some nice examples of stained glass. The Church yard is quite pretty and contains a grave stone for Ebinezer Scruge which is quite fun.

We were awed by the church's serene beauty. The stained glass windows are rich in colour. We were fortunate that the sun shone through the 'window' in on of the stained glass 'pictures'. The round design is special. I wish that we had gone for Evensong or a concert there.
