The castle was extremely cheap to visit, it set us back aproximately £2.50 each. It has beautiful grounds which are lovely to sit in and relax. The castle is deceptively small from the outside, however the collection that the museum actually has is pretty big....More

We visited Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery on a voucher (thankfully) otherwise we'd have been disappointed. The free Roman exhibition is the other side of the Cafe & involved negotiating tables (interesting positioning) so, as time was limited, decided to leave for another time. The...More

We learned so much about the rich heritage of the county here. Displays are easy to read and the First World War exhibition was also well worth seeing.

A very well presented walk through the history of Shrewsbury and Shropshire, with wonderful artefacts from the Pre- Roman, Roman and Medieval periods and up to modern history. It not a large museum which makes it easy to fully enjoy the exhibits.

Best coffee and cake! Very interesting visit, loved the roman mirror, the gorgeous carved bed and learning about the history of Shrewsbury as a town built on the wool trade. Interactive exhibit (hats!!) as very enjoyable..
