If you are visiting Shrewsbury I advise you not to miss a hidden gem right in the middle of this glorious town! It is a park within a park! It is known as The Dingle which is part of The Quarry Park. It was created by the late doyen of the gardening world, Percy Thrower and it is maintained year... More

If you have time, visit the quarry. All town should take pride an such an area in their town. Not much protection from weather but on a dry day/ evening a nicest stroll by the river with a couple of places for a coffee.

Had a lovely pleasant walk around the quarry. Looked superb. Nothing out of place. A credit to the gardeners.

This is a very welcoming place with lovely and inspiring walkways; beautiful colours and expertly laid out flowers, shrubs, trees and lawns. The lake in the middle completes the picture.

This is an interesting place to visit no matter what time of year. However, visit in June/July and you won't be disappointed. It is an explosion of colour and design. Lots to keep the attention of young children as little paths to explore as well as ducks on the lake. An abundance of benches to sit and have a flask... More

Lovely walk along the river and round the grounds. Well kept park - lots of walkers, joggers, kids and dogs. Newly refurbished kiddies area which looks good.

With lots of open space, an expansive river, play area, monuments, flower displays and lots more - you're bound to have a lovely day out at The Quarry. There's also plenty of choice for food and drink, with trendy bars, traditional pubs and coffee houses to choose from all within a short walk of one another.
