Followed the Bath Skyline from Widcombe.. all up hill but was a lovely hike. Walked along the Skyline through Bath Uni and got to Sham Castle that way. It's right next to the golf club. Lovely view of Bath and a fun walk straight back...More

Parked on the main road and had to walk through a field with lots of cows on the footpath which was quite scary. No signs to it and we had to ask someone who directed us to go up the road to the golf club,...More

Not many local people seem to know how to get to Sham Castle, or even that's what it's called. we found our way through a combination of walking trails, crossing fields and probably trespassing through some private properties! Once we got there, learned of a...More

It's not the easiest place to find or get to. But if the weathers nice it's a good place for a picnic and view the city below

The Sham Castle is just a folly, looking good just in pictures and at the front view, but when you go in the back, it's dissapointing. Anyway, the view is beautiful from there.

My daughter and I jumped off the skyline bus tour to take a look at this attraction, it really isn't anything spectacular, as another reviewer wrote "its just 2 towers with a wall joining them" but the view over most of Bath City is quite...More

It is what it is - a sham. Don't expect much. However this folly was built by Bath's master stone mason Ralph Allan.
