There cannot be many double overshot water wheels in preservation that are still in full working order like those at Dunster. Fascinating to watch the process and learn the history - together with a very interesting collection of old implements - both mill related and...More

A long steep walk to get to this, on roads with cars passing. The waterwheel was getting fixed so we did not see it in action. The walk from here to the castle in the gardens is stunning. No good if you have mobility issues...More

I've never seen such a wonderful piece of history, with many interesting items. The mill leads out onto beautiful gardens running up to the castle.

Great working mill, with 2 water wheels. Flour ground on site to make the scones and bread. Very interesting and knowledgeable staff. Have tea in the mill tea rooms!

It was interesting to see a Mill working. Very good condition. It is not very big so we didnt spend alot of time here, but worth visiting when you visit Dunster Castle.

Enthusiastic staff in the mill showing you the way things worked. Dogs allowed in which is good. They produce flour and you can buy some if you want. Good to see everything well maintained and working. Lovely area. Part of Dunster Castle.

We walked to the Mill while visiting Dunster Castle. The mill has been well looked after and you can see all the mechanisms working. There's also a display of all the old machinery that used to be used. A very interesting visit.

Sorry for delay, been away, but it is free to members and well worth the trip, especially the twin working water wheels!
