Short hike to the top but the reward is the wonderful view of the countryside. Fairly busy at the top but still able to get good photos. The history is interesting as well. I uploaded the historical marker located at the bottom. It’s well worth...More

Maybe a little difficult for those with mobility issues, but most of my group were over seventy, and managed ok. Views well worth the climb!

I’ve visited Glastonbury before but not the Tor so I was keen to go up. Unfortunately it was a miserable day so the view wasn’t as stunning as it could have been. The walk up is mainly shallow steps and quite challenging but has a...More

Glastonbury Tor is an amazing experience whatever time of the day, with a very spiritual connection drawing many people to feel its energy. My most favorite times were sunrise and sunset; some of the most incredible sunrises and sunsets I have ever seen. It is...More

It's clear the tor itself is a most worthy site. The problem is accessibility. I think it's time for public transportation to manage all crowd and parking control relative to a visit here. Otherwise, it's often entirely too difficult to gain proper access, even in...More

Once you've seen it once, you've seen it forever. It's just a building on a hill. The building isn't even the tor, the hill is. Gorgeous but a bit cold and windy.

Superb views and quite an easy climb, although it was blowing an absolute gale when we were up there!

Walked to the top. Fantastic views. Decent pathways with places to stop and sit for a while. Information on the Tor is in the building for you to read. Plaque with details of the towns etc you can see from the top.

Hi Jane, I don't much like heights either, but the Tor is no problem. A five year old in flipflops can walk it. I'm 57 by the way and not that fit. There's a concrete path all the way to the top, with a step every four feet... More

Hi, It maybe advisable to wear wellies to climb the Tor due to the recent bad weather conditions, but normal flat shoes are usually ok as there is a path the entire way up to the top, but it is really steep, so take your... More
