A steady climb to the top, but all well paved and stepped, well worth it for the outstanding views of three counties.

The views are certainly worth the effort. The whole world seems to be laid out below you. The path although steep has a hard walkable surface. Pick a good day, take refreshments a camera binoculars and a picknick.

Always find peace when I lie on the grass and close my eyes to drift away from the stresses of life. I always cleanse my crystals in the well and lay them down o charge here at least once or twice a year

For an easy walk up with a view, this spot works fine. There are steps a good bit of the trail and some days sheep are grazing (that's when the dogs need to be on leads).

We caught the bus from the abbey grounds as parking is difficult. We walked up the steep side and down the easier walk. Mum is slow walking, and the steep side is steep for an 80 year old who struggles, but she was determined and...More
