We stopped in Wells to pass some time and the cathedral and Bishops Palace to be wonderful glad we stopped here. Center marketplace was open in city center. Learning a lot on the way. Good walking area. Vicar's Row pretty amazing also close by.

Suggested donation for entering but the staff make you feel uncomfortable if you didn't pay, lovely atmosphere and interesting items of historic nature, cafe delicious coffee. Food looked tasty, staff need a little training in customer service.

Excellent tour by David lasted approx 1.5 hrs and is a must for anyone. David's knowledge was par excellence and the cathedral was hugely interesting. We were also able to listen to the young students orchestra practicing which was most pleasurable.

We visited this Cathedral in July 2017 and joined the Sunday Service. It was free to get in and had a great atmosphere. The service was excellent and the building is very impressive.
