We arrived early in the morning. Early enough to see the Gorge awash with frost and ice which made the extremely muddy paths bearable as they were frozen. The views are amazing. And well worth the harsh trek. The terrain is very unforgiving. Steep, steep...More

The Ebbor Gorge is a truely bijoux walking experience both well worth the trip, and warrants more than one visit. The narrow gorge (never more than a few yards wide), formed by the collapse of an ancient cave system, may be walked by anyone who...More

This is a great place to walk with friends and/or dogs - off the beaten track so a great place for feeling nature around you. If you are spending a weekend in Wells or nearby, plan an afternoon for this walk.

Lovely easy walk in forest. Clear and marked footpaths with a circular route from car park. You can walk along the gorge and end up with an amazing view over Glastonbury Tor. Some up hill and slightly tricky path but no very challenging sections.

Just a short drive away from Wookey Hole and forgotten as it's bit off the beaten track. Lovely to just go and walk over - weather permitting. Has parking too!!

It is a walk for the more able and adventurous. It was rather muddy and slippery under foot and made the climbing up the gorge a little unsteady at times, and with a young child a little tricky, but the nature, views and overall experience...More
