If you are in Wells take the time to also visit this very hisitoric church. It is within 1/2 a mile of the Cathedral and well worth the walk. The Almshouses are just outside the church border.

Apart from its famous links with the film Hot Fuzz the ceiling of this church is worth a visit to Wells alone. If travelling by bus its only about 5-10 minutes walk away from the bus station, making it ideal for a quick visit when...More

We visited this church, whilst staying in Wells. It is a lovely church which should be visited and not forgotten due to Wells having a Cathedral.

A most interesting building - middle ages stone carvings are a delight and the architecture as a whole is fascinating. We spent about an hour looking around and then another half hour at the jigsaw puzzle table and placed about 5 pieces - very relaxing.A...More

Most visitors probably come to Wells for the Cathedral, but this huge parish church could almost be a cathedral itself. Very historic, with some fascinating carvings, and very useful signboards which explain everything. This church is the first one you see from the bus station,...More
