The gardens and monuments are great especially when you read the story's behind them. The hall is disappointing as only a few rooms are open, hopefully national trust will open more. The Lichfield apartments are a lot more interesting but still need more rooms opening....More

I have been to shugborough many times over the years, but this is the first since the National Trust have taken over.....they have done a fantastic job in improving the site and i particularly like the walled garden and kids play area. Worth a visit!

There is a farm but not one that you can go round. Some of the old farm out buildings can be seen and if you're lucky some pigs could be at home. You may be able to see Longhorn cattle, Southdown sheep, Red and White... More

Yes, there is a naturalistic play area behind the walled garden, I think. The guides will direct you.
