A Cinema with a soul!
Jul. 2021 • Family
We visited Stafford Cinema in July to watch Peter Rabbit 2 as a family of three, and met up with my friend and her three children. The chap behind the counter was extremely welcoming and friendly, he was great with the younger children, giving me a paper cup and straw for the can of pop. The service was faultless, the quality of the screening and the sound was excellent. I will definitely be back again in future, much better than the heartless big cinema chains.

Justhe left after watching A Quiet Place (Pt2). What can I say about the cinema? A bargain. Not a big rip-off chain. Great picture and sound, really, REALLY sensible.. (verging on cheap) prices for sweets, drinks, ice cream and popcorn. Very freindly staff. Support this cinema. A great entertainment at £5 a ticket. What's not to like. Well done guys, we will be back soon.

My Husband and my self went to Stafford Cinema on Wednesday 5th Aug, we travel from Walsall to Stafford and stay over night so we can visit Sam's Cinema, we are real lovers of old Cinema, and Sam and the staff are so friendly .
The work that has gone into and continues to be going on is wonderful, they are restoring it back to its original state.

Sam and young chap we were talking too was so enthusiastic about it and he has done all the work, mending roofs electrics etc.
WELL DONE TO ALL AT THE STAFFORD CINEMA

lovely old place. Rosie and Mike Whitehouse

This is my childhood cinema I thought it may be my last chance to see inside as the local paper had (inaccuratly, as it turns out) reported it may be closing. I was not expecting mucn to be honest.

Well what a pleasant surprise, I was so impressed, the team were so welcoming and so passionate. Every member of the team was so friendly.

The cinema was warm and comfy the sound was excellent and picture quality also superb.

This a lovely family run cinema that evoked lovely nostalgic feelings and I am so pleased that it seems to be going from strength to strength in very safe hands.

Fantastic cinema & amazing staff
Jan. 2020 • Family
We visited yesterday (2 adults, 2 children) and had a wonderful time. It was just like what cinemas used to be. The screen was huge and there was plenty of seating.
The price was fantastic!! We paid £19 for a family of 4 with 2 drinks, 2 small popcorn and 2 sweets.
The staff were brilliant and I cant praise them enough. They were wonderfully polite and went above and beyond to make my sons day. They realised how interested one of my sons was in the 'behind the scenes' of filming and invited us to have a look in the camera room. They let both boys control the lights, play a film and showed us how an old film reel worked on the big screen.
This is all the boys have spoken about since our visit yesterday. So a huge thank you to the two members of staff for being so amazing.
We will definitely be visiting this cinema regularly from now on and cant recommend it highly enough!

Good value local enterprise with friendly people
Dec. 2019
Last night we decided we'd leave the boys with babysitters and head to the cinema. Like most 'Staffordians' it seems we went on line and tried to book seats at the Odeon Luxe. The only screening of Last Christmas was pretty much full (around 50 seats) and we couldn't get two together. So we searched again and found the Stafford Cinema showing the film and booked tickets there instead.

We arrived and were greeted by incredibly friendly staff. We paid £5 each for our tickets (£9.75 at Odeon) and then had two coffees and a couple of bags of chocolate all for £5.50. We then went into screen two and had the whole cinema to ourselves to watch a great film.

So, we paid around £20 for an evening out which would have cost probably double that at the Odeon to see the same film in slightly more comfortable seats.

But my point is a bigger one. I have no issue with the Odeon, it's very nice. But Stafford Cinema, like other small businesses, is out there too in our town and for us to use. It doesn't have the resources of the 'big boys' but makes up for it with personality, customer service and trying hard. I don't know who owns it but they should be commended for trying to make a go of things against tough competition.

If you get the chance then do go and see Last Christmas, it's a great film. And if you do (or if you go to see anything else) then I'd recommend giving Stafford Cinema some of your hard earned cash, as their income is being hard earned too.

Recently reopened. Traditional cinema, beautiful decor and features from 1930s. Historic cinema. Reasonably priced. Very affordable for families, tickets just £5. Great venue and staff.

Cinema visit
Nov. 2019
It’s great to see the cinema up and running again. The sound quality was great, staff friendly and helpful and the seats were comfortable and spacious. The temperature was spot on as well. There was a good choice of food and snacks at a really reasonable price. A really enjoyable visit.
