We went on one of the cream tea trips and enjoyed the nostalgic ride. It is quite a short trip as the railway was built to service a local pit, which is long gone. Not an awful lot of the countryside was visible because of...More

Great day out lots of different steam trains operating this weekend and a bus connection to the disused pit to watch the trains battling to climb the steep hill

We went with the intention of taking many photographs of industrial steam locomotives and were not disappointed. My wife always travels with me to Foxfield. She's not a steam "nut" but enjoys sitting in the cafe with a good book, a fresh supply of tea...More

My colleague and I visited the Foxfield railway on Wednesday 4th and we are reviewing as five even though it is a very short journey of a 5 mile return as the enthusiasm, friendliness and information by the volunteers warrants it. We only took the...More

We had a fantastic first visit. The staff were all great. They were very entertaining and efficient and the gifts were brilliant. I loved the singing. The only criticism would be they needed more help on the car park.
