Great food, THE most comfortable cinema seats, and you can enjoy a glass of very acceptable wine whilst watching the latest film release. HEAVEN! If you are going to visit more than a couple of times a year it is well worth becoming a member..

His idea, not mine, so off we went to see 'Sully'. Clint Eastwoods Direction was brilliant so was Tom Hanks portrayel of Chesley Sullenberger, the brilliant and courageous airline pilot who landed A320 Airbus on the Hudson River. But first we ate, a delicious and the best I have had for a long time, beefburfer. Not my first choice of... More

This is now a great day out. There was an issue with service but they seem to have sorted it out. Great menu - not so sure about the bread which they are bigging up - it tends to dry out quickly and go crumbly - but otherwise good food and drink and always the latest screenings. A god day... More

Cinema is not usually our thing as they are mostly full of ignorant people who eat loudly and play with their phones, also the last time we visited a big cinema we had a couple who brought their newborn baby along to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, a very loud movie! Bad new parents. Decided to try Abbeygate... More

We took two of our grandchildren to lunch at Number 4 and to see a movie. This was our second meal with little ones at the Abbeygate Cinema restaurant. (Different grandchildren each time) The restaurant is so wonderfully child friendly. Such a good menu, which allows the kids to "create their own burger" which is so much fun. Adult food... More

Stepping into a screening at the Abbeygate is a wonderful experience. A small, boutique cinema with reclining seats and even sofas! A lovely atmosphere. Well worth joining for a 38 pounds annual fee which rewards you with two free movies per year, discounted tickets on all movies, including a guest and discounts in the superb bar/café that adjoins it. Do... More

We love to visit when there is a good film showing, there is always a good atmosphere in restaurant or in the cinema it's self, with excellent seating and with the added bonus of being able to take your drink in with you from the restaurant.not forget the staff who are always friendly and polite.

Me and my partner visited for the first time yesterday afternoon, our whole experience was excellent. Comfy, reclining seats, and cheaper than cineworld. 👌🏻 This will be regular cinema from now on. Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and helpful.

This is a little gem. It is a small cafe/restaurant below the cinema. Not a huge selection on the menu, but starters, mains and homemade cakes. Superb Taccos and a Cajun Chicken - the best I have ever tasted. This is the perfect place for a quick tasty snack or meal whilst in town or visiting the cinema. Excellent service,... More

This is definitely the best cinema in the area, very comfy seating especially the sofas for two. Being able to take a glass of wine in is also a bonus.
