This place is awesome! I love the small town feel and that the owner himself individually seats each guest. The food is excellent and the service is prompt and efficient!

Lovely little cinema, a great relaxed feeling and you can take a drink into the cinema. Nothing quite like watching a good film with a glass of wine!

We have 2 international students staying with us, neither have ever been to see the Ballet, so the next best thing was a live performance of a very "Christmassy" production.....The Nutcracker. We had a meal in the restaurant below the cinema before the performance started. Fab food, great service, nicely priced. The seating in the cinema was amazing, comfy double... More

Abbeygate Cinema is a lovely and comfortable way to watch a film. You can enjoy a very tasty meal before hand in the restaurant. Take a glass of wine in with you when you watch the film. It's all very civilised. I try to go there whenever I want to watch a film. Highly recommended. The staff are lovely too!

Seating comfortable, with a choice of reclining individual seats or sofas for couples. Has a good restaurant with decent burgers and brunch at weekends. Licensed, so you can take in a glass of wine, and the... More

Abbey gate is a small and very comfy cinema. It has a traditional feel to it and a lovely atmosphere, the seats are deep and recline, and at the front there are a few sofas with tables for your drinks. The restaurant is good, I can't vouch for the meat, but the veggie/vegan food is great, and a reasonable price.... More
