What a great job! Such a contrast to the old museum. Very spacious light and airy. A lot of thought has gone into the architecture with little windows here and there displaying trophies and letting in light. Very interactive and educational for the children too. Lovely to see some ex racers there too. Really impressed.

Although the price may seem high, you do get a year's ticket in case you can't see it all in one trip. I went on a Sunday, and went round Palace House first as it was quieter. This was a fascinating gallery and an astonishing collection of paintings from places like Lords (cricket match), V&A Museum (screen - enjoy the... More

The price at over £16 per adult for what looks a relatively small museum compares very poorly with Duxford War Museum (£16.50) which is huge. Enjoyed lunch in the cafe (albeit very slow service) until we found a piece of broken ceramic in the soup - also noticed a lot of the crockery chipped - bad for such a new... More

Had a great day out here with lots of interesting and interactive exhibits. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Lunch in the cafe was excellent and good value. A wonderful range of sporting art. The entrance fees seemed high, but we spent all day here (which we didn't expect to) and the tickets last for a year. Nice to see real... More

Visited with my mum. We weren't sure whether we wanted to visit and the high price (around £16) was a factot (surely prohibitive to many). Front desk staff very helpful telling us more about what we could see (especially useful as there aren't any signs or boards with pricing or information). We enjoyed the sporting art galleries and temporary exhibition... More

Having visited Newmarket and all its charms many times, the old museum in the high street was getting pretty tired! This new venue is stunning! Great gift shop And cafe/restaurant on site! A must visit destination for any racing fan!

Excellent value for money. Lots to see and do, with very well informed staff on hand to aid your tour. Lovely lunch in the tack room. Will definitely visit again very soon. Beautiful art in the gallery.

I'm not a racing person, but I live in Newmarket, the home of Britain's horse racing industry, where there are 3,000+ horses in training. We've been waiting and watching for the past few years as this wonderful spectacle has been developed, and it's open at last! An extraordinary amalgam of history, technical displays that include how the physical structure of... More
