A Snapshot of Time
Aug. 2019 • Couples
My uncle had served as a navigator with the 390th in 1944. I’d planned to get to Parham for years, and was finally able to make it happen.
The folks at the Museum treated us so well, we felt like family. Peter even loaded us into the Jeep, and showed us the layout of the base at the height of the war.
This is so much more than a museum. It’s a memorial to the lives of Americans and Brits who offered their lives to win the war. The PAM folks keep that memory alive in this beautiful farmland in East Anglia.
Highly recommended.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a lovely review. We do ‘roll out the red carpet’ for the families of ours boys’. It’s the least we can do for their sacrifice and our freedom.

Fascinating

My brother and I visited during the off season, after the kind staff agreed to open the facilities (we were coming from the US). Our father had been stationed here during the war, and he never knew of the British Resistance Organisation activity. This is simply a well-done, excellent museum with well-informed and kind staff.

Definitely worth the trip.

Always a pleasure

I have visited the museum many times in my life, starting with when it was just a almost derelict shell. Every time I visit I continue to be amazed at what has been achieved by the Kindred family and the small army of volunteers.

I shall continue to visit and I highly recommend it as a museum which should not be missed.

Fantastic Museum
Nov. 2019
This is an incredible museum and memorial to the bomber crews that flew from here during the war.

Lots of interesting stories and artifacts and the volunteers that work there are enthusiastic and have an extraordinary knowledge of the history of the base.

Couldn't recommend more highly. I've been multiple times and have a jumper too!

Fitting memorial to men of the Mighty Eighth.
Aug. 2019 • Couples
This is a five star memorial not only to the B.17 crews who flew from here but to all who were part of the USAAF in W.W.2. The museum and well worth a visit as is the underground base of men who were part of the ' Secret Army, men whom we should not forget!

Good day out

This was a good day out. Met up with friends for tea and cake in the cafe. Then spent the next 4 hours wandering around chatting to the staff. Really enjoyable.

A superb small museum. Unfortunately only open a few times a year but understandable as the attraction is run by excellent volunteers.
An insight into the lives and losses of our American allies during the last war.
A good cafe and gift shop serving very reasonably priced snacks, drinks and gifts.

Superb place to visit.
Aug. 2019 • Family
Visited the museum for the second time on Sunday 11th August; we had visited previously in 2018. A very interesting place with detailed story of the US airmen who served there in WWII. It also exhibits the UK resistance with a reconstructed bunker to view. There’s plenty of artefacts and exhibits, and the staff are really friendly and willing to engage with visitors. Our teenage boys were fascinated with the firearms exhibits and were allowed to handle the deactivated weapons under the supervision of the enthusiastic staff. There’s also a nice cafe where there’s very cheap books available to purchase. Highly recommended place to visit.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We are very proud of our museum and of the stories it tells, especially the little known stories of the British Resistance. Glad we could interest your teenage boys and pass some of our knowledge on to the next generation.

A lovely museum telling the story of the American Airforce stationed here in WW2.
Tour starts in the control tower overlooking the air field. Very knowledgable guides talk you through what was there and what life was like on the base in the wartime.
The museum is crammed with engines, guns and uniforms. Look out for the Spive who has everything on sale.
