Having driven past for years , I went to a service there a short while ago , quite amazing for a modern building , built between 1936 and 1961 designed by Edward Maufe .

We visited because the church was featured in the movie 'The Omen' I wasn't expecting it to be so bright, colourful and cheerful. It really is a stunning Cathedral worth visiting if passing through the area.

It was still and tranquil when we visited but probably is best enjoyed during a sung mass or ceremony. It is a relatively recent structure without decorative stain glass in the windows.

Attended the superb Poppy Fields unique light and sound event to commemorate the World War One Centenary. Fabulous opportunity to experience the amazing space in the Cathedral. This building is majestic inside and out and well worth a visit.

A light and airy Cathedral. We enjoyed our visit and had lunch here too. We all remembered the Cathedral being built and some of us had 'bought a brick'.

A beautiful church although quite modern looking. We were allowed to enter and look around which was very moving as loud organ music was playing. A large cathedral with lots to read about inside. Good parking.

From the outside this modern cathedral seems very austere but once you cross the threshold you enter the world of modern day gothic architecture such a surprise and joy

Walked up to this Cathedral to see if I could get on their roof, to take photos of a recent University construction. They obliged humbly and, during a heatwave, walked all the way up to the roof of the bell tower and saw the world...More
