The museum has good information abut the area and also special exhibits. There are permanent displays showing how the area was formed. A good option to learn about Tyneside and on a rainy day.

I quite like this museum because it has stuffed birds and some stuffed animals and it also has a fake elephant.

We particularly liked the way the Roman memorial relics had a link to a Roman person so you knew more about them. dinosaur was pretty impressive.
