The Quayside is lovely for a stroll along during the day or evening. There are plenty of bars, hotels and restaurants to visit. You will see the bridges in all their glory, lit up at night of course! The balance art gallery and sage venue are also worth a visit.

The Quayside is very beautiful and a must see if you visit Newcastle. It is lovely and clean and very modern. There are also several bars along side that you can go to for a drink or for food. There is also a small market on a Sunday which has some lovely little stalls.

You must go down to the quayside if you visit Newcastle. Great views of all the bridges. Go to the Baltic and Sage for high rise views too!

Was very surprised by Newcastle. We spent an entire day around the Quayside. Fabulous eating places and pubs. We were stunned by our visit to the old flour mill/ museum. Saw the kittiwakes nesting along the ledges - the only city nesting place for these birds in the UK. That and seeing the millennium bridge opening made a lasting impression... More
