I visited The Bodega to meet friends for a couple of drinks prior to attending the Tyne Theatre and couldn't have asked for better. It is located right next to the theatre and just up the road from the O2 Academy, so would also be perfect as a meeting place prior to any gigs there. Proper pub, serving proper beer... More

We were recommended this pub for a pre match pint. Good beer selection and plenty of screens to watch early game. Very busy by the time we left. We enjoyed our visit.

My favourite Newcastle pub, this visit saw me enjoy a pleasant two pints practicing darts on a rainy afternoon against a backdrop of dreamy music and distant bar chat. First up was Wishbone Black Porter 6% ABV, one of the best I've tasted in months with a perfect blend of hops and smokiness which left a fabulous bitter aftershock on... More

Popped in here to try the ales as the blackboard outside stated it had plenty. I wasn't disappointed a good selection was available also craft beers. Pub is however in need of some decorating many of the seats were in a state of disrepair

Excellent atmosphere, friendly attentive staff and an excellent selection of cask ales which are in fantastic condition. I always enjoy a visit to The Bodega and never leave disappointed, only inebriated!

Last time I visited this bar it was quiet with a CAMRA type of crowd full of beards and ale appreciation. On my latest visit the crowd was much more mixed and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. It has some really cool features. The staff are good and seem happy to let you taste before you buy. A great... More

We like this pub because if it's not a match day or there's not football on the tv you can find a really relaxed atmosphere. We like the booth seats so we have some privacy, to have a quite drink, nice conversation, and a read of the newspapers or books. The pub has a great selection of ales, ciders and... More
