We had a pleasant afternoon here watching folk bands and clog dancing. Quite a surprise to me. The place is kind of tucked away near to Byker Bank. A great selection of beers and super friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Great pub, its a fantastic place if you like a real ale.
I've stayed here twice now and the rooms are great too - a lot of character and a good size. The full cooked breakfast delivered straight to your room is excellent.
