I have stayed in Stratford many times and I always enjoy a walk along the canal whatever the season. It is a peaceful spot once you get out of the main bit of Stratford. Lots of waterbirds to enjoy.

This is a lovely place to take a walk. I visited during the river festival weekend so there was live music and lots of boats in the river. I got an ice cream from one of the boats that was selling them.

We found this park/canal area lovely after the rush of other parts of Stratford. We also took a boat trip down the canal and enjoyed seeing homes and vegetation along the water. The canal provides a nice break in a day of touring.

This is one of the quietest canals we have walked along. It is so intimate that you can watch a boat or boats go throuh locks and create such interest. Well worth a visit.

It was a delight to be able to stroll along both banks, take in the sights and scenery. Even had a short canal boat ride with a guide. Plenty to see so close to the RSC and other places. Plenty of history in the area....More
