As always the play was truly fantastic. I have been a number of times and I am always amazed at the quality of every aspect of the performance. It was outstanding. The only down side were the seats which were truly excruciating. Maybe my days of sitting on these kind of seats, the stool like ones on the balcony, are... More

The Tempest-7 Jan. According to my programme collection this was my 21st visit to the collective RSC theatres in Stratford and WOW!!!! What a production. Being used to rather less imposing sets at the RSC this one was amazing, huge! I was attracted to this production as much for the technology as anything else but, even if that had been... More

The average age of the audience was not quite retirement age but the general impression I had was that many of us were white haired! Perhaps it was just the night we happened to go to see the Tempest! However, the production offered plenty of variety and technical innovations and would appeal to many from the age of nine or... This is a beautiful and very intimate theatre. We have sat in various areas and there has always been a good view of the stage. This is combined with a consistently high quality, enjoyable, theatrical experience. There are plenty of places to have refreshments but, if you want to eat in the restaurant, book well in advance and leave a... More

It's the RSC, it's magical, wonderful and full of delight. An awesome evening and a spectacle if ever there was one. Top class rooftop bar, great service, pleasant and helpful staff and amazing facilities.

A friend and I visited on a Friday night to watch The Tempest. Despite booking many weeks in advance we got some of the last few tickets. Having watched it I'm not surprised as it was an amazing and truly ground-breaking production. The use of the technology certainly enhanced the play and was never overdone as the set was stunning... Simon Russell Beale's performance as Prospero proved riveting as expected...his acting is superb. Jo Dixon as Caliban was the best performance I have seen of this role....moving, spell-binding, sympathetic...his interpretation, movement and timing just excellent. More of him please. And, finally, Tony Jayawaedena proved terrific, what a great casting. For those who have not seen the performance, try and catch... More

I always enjoy going to the RSC. The view from where ever you sit is good and you can guarantee a good few hours. The staff are helpful and always willing to help. The shop is always worth a browse even if you don't end up buying ( not that that ever happens to me!) try it hopefully you will... More

We went on the backstage theatre tour, this costs £8.50 for just over an hour and was worth every single penny. If you're interested in theatre then this is a must do. We went into both the main auditorium and the Swan theatre, the Tempest set was up as they were the next day recording the performance for cinema (... More
