Went to see Anthony and Cleopatra. My first time at live Shakespeare play and not really a drama type. But was totally transfixed throughout. Can't believe how much impact a small number of actors and minimal set can be so powerful. The theatre was also...More

The only play that run during our stay in Stratford-upon-Avon was Titus Andronicus (the bloodiest one). If I had a choice I would not choose it but I did not. We are so glad that we went to the play. The actors (especially Titus), the...More

We took the Behind the Scenes tour with our teenage daughters and they loved it! Our guide was funny, personable and very informative. An understudy was even practicing on stage during our tour. The wigs, the blood, the costumes - it was all terrific. We...More

It was heavy rain when we arrived in Stratford upon Avon so this was a great venue to enjoy cocktails in a comfy chair overlooking the river. Great cocktails, friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

This is the one place in Stratford you must attend...even if you don't like Shakespeare! We went to see Antony and Cleopatra which was an amazing production and highly recommended

My last review was to warn people about the "high seats" and how uncomfortable they were! Well anyway just to update we went to see Titus and booked slightly more expensive seats and thankfully watched the play in reasonable comfort. Personally I just love this...More

Shakespeare was something we did at school and although over the years I have seen plays in a number of venues it has taken a visit to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre to feel enthused by his writing. I absolutely loved Anthony and Cleopatra and the...More

There is also a car park by the side of the Premier Inn Waterways by the side of the canal. As long as children supervised you can walk along tow path to RSC, about 15 mins walk.

In the main theatre, they do tip up, but the spring is not so strong that it will tip you up too! The seats are more comfortable and a bit more roomy than the Swan.
