My trip to Warwicks beautiful buildings on a showery Saturday was "dogged" by early closures! This one was because of imminent filming by the BBC! So only had about thirty minutes to look around, and many of the little chapels and the main nave were being decorated. However I came to see the tombs of the ancient Earls mentioned at... More

How anyone can say there isn't much to see here is beyond me! Unfortunately we visited fairly late on a Sunday afternoon and so didn't have time to visit the crypt, but we could hardly tear ourselves away from the Beauchamp chapel which was full of interest. Not only are there effigies of Robert Dudley, his second wife, his brother,... More

We were great by the most enthusiastic lady who imparted a great wealth of knowledge and advice for our visit. We started with a climb up the tower. Warning, it is tight and narrow and has over 160 steps. It is not for the unfit or the faint hearted but the views were stunning. The church itself has a really... More

A lovely church and very impressive. This trip was to go up the very narrow staircase, very very narrow, I warn you to the top of the church tower. There are one hundred and sixty steps, you need to be fit and have a head for heights. When we got to the top we were rewarded with lovely views all... More

The Collegiate Church of St Mary is actually the parish Church of Warwick. The church foundations date back nearly nine hundred years, being created by Roger de Beaumont, 2nd Earl of Warwick, in 1123. What makes the church of great interest though has to be the Chapel of Our Lady, commonly known as the Beauchamp Chapel. It contains the effigial... More

The crypt is a must see as well as the chapel. The chap in the chapel had a wealth of interesting historical facts which was incredibly interesting that you would not normally hear about.

We were interested to find out more about this church and were fortunate to have a volunteer on hand who was able to tell us quite a bit about its history, particularly about the chapel dedicated to the Warwickshire Regiment and the chapel dedicated to the Beauchamp family. We found this most interesting. We also visited the crypt and were... More

The church is right in the centre of town near the high street, and looks good from all angles. The tower stands out, and can be climbed to get a view over the rooftops. A must see if you are in Warwick.

Lovely from outside, inside was ok but nothing special. One of few sights in Warwick where entry is free so that's a bonus!

Absolutely stunning church, a must see in the heart of Warwick. There is plenty to see in the church and even a dvd to watch inside the crypt. The wood work is amazing and the stain glass windows will have you staring for hours
