The Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Gallery is a small two-floor space with a changing mix of art pieces---paintings, photographs, jewellery, pottery, depending on the focus at the time---nearly all of them for sale at affordable prices. The pleasure here lies in finding the piece you like best---and deciding if it has a place in your life. It's an hour's browse,... More

Although tucked away in the Jewellery Quarter the RBSA Gallery has a vibrant atmosphere. It often has live demonstrations from artists and sells very affordable work all made by local craftspeople. A great way to spend a cultural afternoon!

Inspired by this exhibition by the members and associates of their wide variety of pieces that are up for sale at less than £300. I loved the Peter Shread woodcuts. Had a very pleasant discussion with one of the exhibiting artists - not something you get in the big galleries. Impressed by the ceramics of Usha Khosla and the wonderful... More

I stumbled upon the RBSA gallery while out walking around St Paul's square. It's an unassuming little gallery with friendly personable staff. The collections for sale are beautifully presented and clearly and fairly priced. If you are looking for something a little more unique that's been produced locally, this is a must-visit gallery.

As i had chosen to have artwork rather than jewellery for my 50th birthday present i thought this was the perfect place to go and i was not wrong. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful, the exhibitions are well laid out and all levels are accessible. Had a lovely few hours and purchased some work by both new and... More

Birmingham's hidden art gem nestles a short stroll from the city centre. With a varied programme of exhibitions and competitions RBSA gallery supports practicing artists. Excellent cafe, excellent contemporary jewellery showcased. Well worth a trip.

On a trip to see other attractions in the Jewellery Quarter we had time to walk to St Paul's Square and visit this gallery for the first time. We were delighted that we went. Not only was there a fascinating and beautiful exhibition (on two floors) of the work of Birmingham artists (with a school group being given a most... More

After living in the W Midlands for 10 years, I only stumbled upon this great gallery when my artist daughter was invited to exhibit two prints. Definitely worth visiting for permanent and temporary exhibitions, local trails (check what is available - at time of writing a sculpture trail was on offer), cafe and friendly staff. And free parking outside on... More
