Hands on

We found some 2 for 1 vouchers online so we paid a reasonable price for a family of 4. We decided to pay an extra £1.50 to try the planetarium, it was well worth the extra, as it... read more

The Thinktank has some incredible exhibits, however I felt there was not enough interaction for my 6 year old compared to some other science museums we have visited. Also some buttons you press to see exhibits working, did not work. The outside area was great and completely interactive but you have to rely on good weather. There was an elderly... More

Great way of explaining science to young children and their grandparents.Reasonably priced cafe and plenty of loos! Think Tank not very well signposted and car parking is a bit of a hassle.

We had a family reunion in Birmingham; (Great City by the way), and I was looking forward to taking my nephews to the Think Tank. When reviewing the place before the visit I thought it was a bit pricey, but noticed in a review the the Garden Science park was free. How disappointing to find out, when we arrived at... More

We found some 2 for 1 vouchers online so we paid a reasonable price for a family of 4. We decided to pay an extra £1.50 to try the planetarium, it was well worth the extra, as it was an informative experience. As a family we much preferred the lower floors as they were quieter and seemed spacious. There is... More

I had heard that the thinktank was a really good place to go but I have to say I was really disappointed. A lot of the attractions were starting to show their age being that they were 16 years old now. We found that there were quite a few things that didn't seem to work. Won't be going back.

Expensive, and very disappointing. For a hands on museum a lot of items did not work. Can't believe I wasted my money on this.

Being a local, I've been here way too many times, but it's definitely something you never grow too old of, especially if visiting with younger children.
